Soda blasting is gentler than sandblasting, but just as effective

The home remedy for removing mold has always been treatment with household bleach, followed by vigorous scrubbing to remove mold deposits. But this treatment isn’t effective or even feasible in many situations. When mold is present on building materials like joists, sheathing and wallboard, the bleach-and-scrub strategy isn’t likely to remove all the mold.
