A retired couple, a teacher and crane operator living in the Thomaston area called Keith Trembley Home Solutions about adding some much needed space in their basement. Keith visited them and recommended the Total Basement Finishing system. The home was fairly new so it had nice high ceilings and was warm and water tight. The main reason for the added area was the need for more closet space, and an area for relatives to stay in when visiting. In all, over 700 square feet was added, including a nice room for a home office. The customers were delighted with the outcome. One comment was that the difference in warmth from the finished area to the unfinished area was dramatic. Overall the new area will also save the family on its heating bill, as insulating the concrete walls are one of the top ways to conserve energy in a home, as written by Fine Home Building magazine. The last comment was that “we will be calling you back next year to finish the rest of the basement”!
